Creole Interpreter - In Person

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking interpreters to provide interpretation for IEP meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, mental health evaluations, and more. Interpreters must have daytime availability.

Language Needed: Creole - Immediate need

Location: Dover, Delaware - IN-PERSON

• Potential for 5-10 hours a week.

• Travel to local client sites within the Dover, Delaware area.
• Provide Creole‑English interpreting for school meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, medical appointments, and more.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry‑specific best practices.

• Full fluency in both English and Creole.
• Daytime availability (between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
• Availability to support our interpreting clients 5-10 hours a week.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required.
• Industry‑specific certifications/training preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required.
• Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry checks.
• Must have reliable phone service for contact.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or smartphone for job input.
