Transport Driver; Prn

Position: TRANSPORT DRIVER (PRN)
Delaware Hospice is actively seeking PRN Hospice Transport Drivers. Your availability should be primarily day hours during the week.

The Hospice Transport Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting Delaware Hospice’s patients in company vehicles. The driver will adhere to company policies, follow designated routes, and ensure on-time delivery or transport. This role may include additional duties such as loading/unloading cargo, minor vehicle maintenance, and keeping accurate records.

Minimum Age of 21 years

Valid driver’s license (non-CDL) with a clean driving record.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.

AED certification required

Successful completion of Emergency Vehicle Operators course conducted by the Delaware State Fire School High school diploma or equivalent.

At least one (1) year of driving experience preferred.

Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Ability to move, lift, pull or push patients or objects up to 150 pounds. Ability to bend, flex, lift, carry, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.

Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.

Able to interact successfully with all levels within the organization.

Will be required to work for extended hours in a seated position and use repetitive motions
