JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Chris Coons for Delaware campaign is seeking a full-time Deputy Campaign Manager to work with the campaign through the 2026 election cycle. The Deputy Campaign Manager will oversee the campaign’s day-to-day operations, manage in-state relationships, and support campaign organization, among other responsibilities.
Location: Wilmington, DE
Start Date: ASAP
Salary & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience. Eligible for medical, dental, and vision health plans.
Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and will require evening and weekend work over the course of the race.
Travel: In-state travel.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the candidate, the consultant team and other senior advisors to help oversee all strategic and operational facets of the campaign.
- Help set and drive strategy, priorities and execution.
- Execute principal and surrogate events and travel in coordination with other staff.
- Oversee day-to-day campaign operations, including managing the campaign office, establishing systems and workflows and ensuring the campaign runs efficiently and professionally.
- Manage internal staff operations, including onboarding, reimbursements, travel logistics and payroll coordination.
- Assist in managing and coordinating compliance processes.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support campaign goals and respond to the evolving needs of the race.
- Delawarean or experience working in Delaware.
- Self-starter with previous cycles of campaign experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and think creatively to solve problems.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities.
- Excellent judgement and fit with collaborative, team-oriented culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; thoroughness, timeliness, and attention to detail.
- Comfort with working across multiple software platforms.
- Access to cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
