Job Title: Assistant Site Manager / Lead Aircraft Wash Supervisor
Location: Dover Air Force Base, Delaware
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position OverviewD2 Government Solutions is seeking a full-time Assistant Site Manager / Lead Aircraft Wash Supervisor to support aircraft wash, corrosion control, and maintenance services for C‑5 and C‑17 aircraft at Dover Air Force Base. This position assists the Site Manager with daily operations and provides direct leadership to aircraft wash and servicing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Site Manager in daily oversight of aircraft wash, cleaning, lubrication, de‑paneling, corrosion‑control, and related maintenance support activities.
- Lead aircraft servicing teams during scheduled wash events, emergency services, weekend or holiday operations, and surge requirements.
- Coordinate task assignments, personnel readiness, tools, equipment, and consumables prior to each service event.
- Ensure aircraft servicers follow all applicable technical data, safety standards, environmental controls, and quality‑control procedures.
- Support Maintenance Operations Center notifications, aircraft status updates, documentation closeout, and worksite turnover.
- Monitor tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, housekeeping, and equipment condition during active operations.
- Provide backup management coverage when the Site Manager is unavailable and assist with after‑hours coordination as needed.
- Experience in aircraft maintenance, aircraft servicing, corrosion control, wash rack operations, or flightline support.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams in a safety‑sensitive maintenance or aviation support environment.
- Familiarity with military aircraft ground safety, tool control, FOD prevention, and technical‑order discipline preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on aircraft schedules, including after‑hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency service calls.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with supervisors, technicians, and Government points of contact.
- Common Access Card (CAC):
Required if needed for network, installation, or G081 access. - Security Clearance / Suitability:
National Agency Check or base access verification as required. - U.S. Citizenship:
Required for employees needing access to CAC‑enabled LAN or G081 systems. - Computer Systems
Experience:
G081 or similar aircraft maintenance information system preferred; ability to support electronic maintenance documentation required.
