Aboutthe Role
The Child Welfare Assistant Director provides oversight and support to supervisors and/or staff to ensure quality service delivery. This position monitors program standards, supports staff with case issues and emergencies, and works closely with community partners and stakeholder agencies.
What You'll Do- Manage and support supervisors and/or staff to ensure quality programming and compliance with funding, regulatory, contract, and Justice Works standards.
- Assign referrals in accordance with program standards.
- Ensure staff receive appropriate training and weekly supervision.
- Review and monitor required documentation and client data entry.
- Provide backup assistance and support to staff as needed.
- Accompany field staff to meetings and court hearings when needed.
- Act in place of the Program Director for meetings and events as needed.
- Coordinate and attend provider trainings and meetings.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training of staff.
- Assist with employee performance management.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and providers.
- Transport clients using a personal vehicle when necessary.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to pass all current, applicable clearances.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
