Overview
Job Title: Machine and Production Operator
Location: Dover, DE 19904
Duration: 05 months contract
Pay Range: $(18.00 – 19.58)/hr on W2 all-inclusive without benefits
Work Schedule: Rotational Shift
12-hours Day Shift (6:30 am to 7:00 pm), 12-hours Night Shift (6:30 pm to 7:00 am)
Responsibilities- Sets equipment/machinery to required settings.
- Monitors operation of machinery or equipment.
- Determines whether materials or products meet standards.
- Able to work 12-hour shifts, schedule options vary including a 2-2-3 bi-weekly rotation schedule, straight days, straight nights.
- Shifts are assigned depending on business need. We cannot guarantee your preference of shift is what you will be assigned.
Minimum qualification: Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
Nice To Have- Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment
- Knowledgeable about different types of machinery and equipment commonly used in manufacturing including: engines, pumps, compressors, conveyors, gears, bearings, and other mechanical components.
- Understanding the working principles, construction, and operational characteristics of these systems to diagnose problems and perform maintenance or repairs.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of tools and instruments essential for a mechanical technician, including hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments for disassembly, assembly, measurement, alignment, and testing.
- System Integration: understanding how components interact within a larger system, including control mechanisms, automation, and interconnections with electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
- Understanding system behavior and interdependencies for effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis for mechanical issues; interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Mechanically skilled technicians perform various types of work, such as maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment (including autonomous robots) responsible for case, layer and/or pallet movements; performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
- Troubleshooting, monitoring, and improving equipment and systems.
- Analyzing trends and technical data to gain insights of the equipment and systems, and identify issues proactively.
