Production Manager
Aerotek is hiring for a Production Supervisor in Delaware.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in a state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. Our company specializes in high-quality industrial, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage solutions. This role requires a people-focused leader with a self-starter mentality, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to effectively supervise 10–15 direct reports. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing leadership experience, deep knowledge of quality systems, and a solid understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities- Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
- Plan labor, assign work, and monitor shift progress to ensure on-time production.
- Maintain full compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 10–15 production employees.
- Build a positive, accountable, and performance-driven team culture.
- Support onboarding, skills training, and cross-training initiatives.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes.
- Leverage an entrepreneurial mindset to anticipate needs, streamline operations, and enhance workflows.
- Lead by example and foster strong engagement with direct reports.
- Ensure all products meet rigorous industrial, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality team to resolve non-conformances and drive root-cause analysis.
- Uphold compliance with cGMP, HACCP, FDA guidelines, and internal quality expectations.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen process reliability.
- Support and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, events, and standard work development.
- Utilize quality and performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
- Promote a proactive safety culture in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
- Conduct routine safety checks and ensure OSHA and company safety standards are met.
- Work with maintenance to address equipment or facility issues quickly.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and KPI documentation.
- Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Participate in planning meetings and contribute to operational strategy discussions.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (industrial, pharma, or food/beverage preferred).
- Proven experience supervising 10–15 direct reports.
- Strong people-leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality systems is required.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FDA, or other regulated manufacturing standards.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Open to working flexible hours or weekends as needed.
