Materials Inventory Specialist
Materials Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory records and supporting food safety by maintaining proper material tracking, reporting discrepancies, and partnering across operations to resolve issues that may impact product integrity.

- Monday – Friday; hours may vary depending on shift
- Overtime and weekend work may be required
- Perform and post daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cycle counts across raw, packaging, and WIP materials
- Analyze inventory variances and investigate root causes, implementing corrective actions
- Validate production reporting of WIP and finished goods in SAP
- Monitor and verify inventory movements between warehouse and production
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly
- Review BOMs and material data for accuracy and consistency
- Support SAP transactions and troubleshoot system‑related inventory errors (e.g., COGI, ZPROD)
- Develop and update training materials, job aids, and standard processes
- Partner with Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Warehouse teams to drive alignment
- Support cycle counting programs and inventory control initiatives across the plant
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and QRMP standards
- Complete clerical tasks including data entry and record maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, manufacturing, or operations preferred
- Experience with SAP (ECC preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Strong communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills - Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Organizational and data management skills
- Basic math and computer proficiency
