Description Skills and Knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance shutdowns and emergency repair situations.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and work orders.
  • Install, align, and test new equipment and machinery as required.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications when necessary.
  • Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, agriculture, feed mill, or poultry operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in dusty, noisy, and temperature-variable environments.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of all equipment and facility operations
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Knowledge of risk management and process safety management programs
  • Mechanical abilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of USDA, OSHA, and state guidelines
  • Ability to read and write in English
