Mechanical Assembler

Primary Function

The assembler level 1 is an entry level assembly position. The assembler should have mechanical aptitude and be able to safely perform simple assemblies with basic hand tools and production equipment following technical instruction. Some understanding of assembly schematics and diagrams is required.

• Complete simple assemblies using hand tools with technical instruction
• Adapt quickly to changing work assignments with minimal disruption
• Fine manipulation of bolts, screws and all fasteners
• Safely use hand drills, belt sanders, presses, etc.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers
• Work well with others and function as an effective team member
• Maintain an organized work area
• Support company goals and projects
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by management

This job requires occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, frequent repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, and visual acuity, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds either individually or with assistance. Ability to frequently lift 25lbs individually as needed to transfer completed assemblies. Ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts, components and tools used in the assembly process. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
