- Maintain all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.
- Practice safe work habits at all times.
- Parallel all rolls and set and adjust equipment for optimum performance, producing quality products.
- Teach other maintenance classifications the required qualification and proper maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot programmable controllers, A/C and D/C drives and their control systems.
- Use all aspects of the maintenance software program.
- Follow up on all work to ensure repairs are performed properly.
- Maximize equipment utilization by maintaining machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
- Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
- Be proactive in equipment maintenance and adhere to the production maintenance schedule.
- Work all necessary hours and shifts as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training and/or technical school preferred.
- 2-3 years of mechanical automation system installation & troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems a plus.
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Mathematical SkillsAble to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy; calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, decimals, measurements, volume, and rates; apply concepts of basic math.
Reasoning AbilityApply reasonable understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form; deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
Technical Skills- Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities to translate into efficient operation.
- Understanding of product/machine layouts and machine specifications.
- Familiarity with product quality specifications and quality standards.
Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. Frequently required to use hands, fingers, arms; reach; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb. Must lift up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
Work EnvironmentExposed to moving mechanical parts; wet and/or humid conditions; high or precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; vibration; loud noise.
