Job purpose

Responsible for the design and execution of PR and Events related roles and functions of the Department of Corporate Communications of (Company) Group. Manages all external communications and supervises internal activities and communications.

Main responsibilities
  • Public Relations:
    Strategy and Planning – Contributes to the overall Communication Strategy of (Company) Group by developing comprehensive PR, Media, and Events plans, including their respective annual budgets. Designs and implements PR strategies to promote (Company) Group, its companies, and Mane Foundation initiatives.
  • Media Relations:
    Cultivates and maintains relationships with local, national, and international media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers to increase visibility and credibility.
  • Content Creation:
    Crafts and distributes impactful press releases, interviews, advertorials, media kits, key facts and figures, and other PR materials. Regularly updates content on the (Company) Group corporate website, brochures, periodic publications, and social media (visuals and text).
  • Event Planning:
    Organizes and manages events, including press conferences and media engagements, to showcase company achievements and announcements externally.
  • Support for Group Companies:
    Provides PR and media relations support to (Company) Group companies, assisting with media releases, interviews, and other external communications needs.
  • Media Monitoring and Analysis:
    Monitors media coverage and PR performance metrics to evaluate success and adjust strategies, providing insights into ROI for (Company) Group and its companies.
  • Crisis Communication:
    Identifies and manages potential crisis situations, delivering timely and accurate responses to mitigate negative publicity.
  • Executive Updates:
    Informs key managers, CEOs, and relevant stakeholders about emerging media issues, recommending media response statements to proactively manage potential risks.
  • PR Opportunities and Industry Trends:
    Actively seeks new PR opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to enhance brand visibility. Stays current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve PR strategies.
  • Agency Management:
    Oversees communications agencies and media monitoring partners to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Works with Finance, HR, CSR & Mane Foundation, marketing, social media, brand teams, internal communications, and other departments to maintain consistent messaging and brand alignment across all Company Group entities.
  • Internal Communication Strategy:
    Oversees the performance and effectiveness of internal communications across the organization, ensuring alignment with the Group values and culture.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong network and relationships with media
  • Good knowledge of media and public affairs demands and processes, with a broad network of media and journalists
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communication, Media/Journalism, PR
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in public relations, with a track record of successfully managing PR campaigns and media relations; experience in journalism is a plus
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative PR ideas and strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and stories
  • Strong media contacts and relationships across various outlets and platforms; well-versed in the media environment in Albania and the Western Balkans; availability to deal with media inquiries 24/7
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive and results-driven – takes initiative and drives action
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and navigate crisis situations effectively
  • Collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally and build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and present findings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe
  • Very good knowledge of English
