The Loop Roots Foundation is a nonprofit, tax‑exempt organization dedicated to supporting justice‑impacted families through transportation, therapy, and technology‑driven programs. Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry. Founded in 2025, the Loop Roots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.

• Loop Connect – a ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
• Loop Talk – a HIPAA‑compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma‑informed mental health care to justice‑impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
• Loop Troop Rideshare Partnership – we collaborate with the Loop Troop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.

Volunteer Housing Program Development Lead (Transitional & Reentry Housing)

Volunteer role (20–25 hours per week), flexible schedule, potential to transition into a paid leadership position as the program launches

Loop Roots Foundation is a nonprofit organization supporting justice‑impacted individuals and their families through transportation, housing, mental health services, legal support, and workforce development. Our programs include Loop Home (reentry support), Loop Talk (mental health), Loop Connect (transportation access), Loop Legal, and Loop Housing, our upcoming transitional housing initiative.

We are seeking a Volunteer Housing Program Development Lead to build and structure Loop Housing, a multi‑state transitional housing and reentry support program. This is a hands‑on role focused on designing the program from the ground up, including housing models, compliance requirements, operational workflows, and expansion strategy across multiple states. This is not a maintenance role; we are looking for someone who can build, organize, and develop systems that will support long‑term program success.

• Design the structure of the Loop Housing program (transitional housing model)
• Research licensing, zoning, and regulatory requirements by state
• Develop intake, eligibility, and resident management workflows
• Evaluate housing strategies (leasing, ownership, partnerships)
• Build scalable systems for multi‑state expansion
• Assist in drafting policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
• Align housing with other Loop Roots programs (Loop Home, Loop Connect, etc.)
• Work closely with leadership on program strategy and rollout

• Experience in transitional housing, reentry programs, or supportive housing
• Familiarity with housing regulations and licensing processes
• Background in program development, nonprofit operations, or housing policy
• Experience working with justice‑impacted populations (preferred)
• Strong organizational and research skills
• Ability to build systems and processes from scratch
