Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dover, Delaware. It offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs, serving over 10,000 patients annually. The CNO is a key member of the leadership team who integrates a patient‑centric nursing strategy focusing on quality, cost‑effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
ResponsibilitiesThe CNO will focus on five key areas:

:

- Psychiatric Nurse Residency Transition‑to‑Practice Orientation Program (could earn 20 CEUs)

Job Requirements:
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Delaware.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE‑accredited program;
Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred. - Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective management, supervisory practices, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience.
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with leadership skills that contribute to a positive work environment.
