ResponsibilitiesThe Scheduling Coordinator will manage nursing department staffing and provide payroll support. This full‑time position requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am–4 pm, with occasional weekend hours as needed.
- Follow the hospital’s FTE ratios and staffing guidelines to ensure the nursing department is appropriately staffed at all times in a 24/7 environment.
- Communicate current staffing levels to nurse management and supervisory staff.
- Forecast scheduling needs based on hospital census and other circumstances (e.g., weather, local events).
- Collect and compute staffing statistics daily, including attendance, tardiness, and meal alerts, and provide weekly staff absences to the CNO.
- Partner with Payroll and Human Resources to ensure staff are paid correctly and timely, entering and completing system entries for payroll weekly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- Previous experience in healthcare scheduling and payroll.
- Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with Shift Hound and/or Kronos.
