About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to provide second‑level leadership for nursing care across all units. The ADON collaborates with the Director of Nursing to monitor facility‑wide patient nursing care, ensure that practices are evidence‑based, and uphold the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to Registered Nurses, LVNs, and Mental Health Technicians.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of chemical dependency and mental health disorders, applying appropriate treatment interventions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the philosophy, goals, and objectives for the Nursing department and inpatient units, aligning with professional nursing practice and the hospital’s purpose.
- Provide administrative support to supervisors and Program Directors, collaborating closely with the CEO and CFO on budgeted annual FTEs.
- Plan and coordinate mandatory trainings for staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare changes.
- Ensure adequate staffing on all inpatient units 24/7, assist the Chief Nursing Officer with hiring, terminations, and policy enforcement, maintain customer satisfaction, and support education, training, and onboarding of nursing staff.

Minimum Qualifications- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN required).
- Current Delaware Registered Nurse license.
- Three or more years of experience in a behavioral health nursing supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills and organizational ability.
- Superior communication skills and adaptability in changing situations.
- Current CPR certification.
- MSN from an accredited School of Nursing.
