Scheduling Coordinator

Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104‑bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dover, Delaware. It features units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our team each year.

We are seeking a dynamic and talented candidate for our Scheduling Coordinator role. The incumbent will be responsible for appropriately staffing and providing payroll support to the nursing department. This position is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4 pm. Hours are flexible and may require some weekend hours.

• Staff the Nursing Department based on the hospital’s FTE ratios and staffing guidelines to ensure appropriate coverage at all times in a 24/7 environment.
• Accurately communicate current staffing levels to the nurse management team and supervisory staff.
• Continuously forecast scheduling needs based on census and external circumstances (e.g., weather, local events).
• Collect and compute staffing statistics daily, including attendance, tardiness, and meal alerts, and provide weekly staff absence reports to the CNO.
• Partner closely with Payroll and Human Resources to ensure staff are paid correctly and timely, including entering and completing system entries for weekly payroll.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma.
• Previous experience in healthcare scheduling and payroll.
• Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.

• Previous experience with Shift Hound and/or Kronos.

• UHS benefits are available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week. Coverage is effective on day 31 of employment. Eligibility for employees scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week varies by location.
