Rate of pay$16.00 – $21.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.
Role OverviewAn Enrichment Program Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing enrichment programs that enhance the educational, creative, and recreational experiences of participants. These programs are designed to offer additional learning opportunities outside of the traditional curriculum, providing children and teens with experiences that foster personal growth, creativity, leadership, and skills development.
Essential Responsibilities- Develop and teach programs for outdoor education and outdoor living skills, including curriculum creation adapted to different age groups and skill levels.
- Space Setup & Development:
Complete programming preparation work that may include community garden setup, program equipment installation and management, and support for outdoor space upkeep. - Creating and implementing high-quality outdoor programming at the Dover YMCA Outdoor Center and branch, with focus areas including outdoor education through activities that guide learning about the natural environment, gardening, nature exploration, and crafts out of natural materials.

Skills:
Facilitate activities that explore outdoor survival skills, including shelter building, fire safety, sling shot & archery, and outdoor cooking.
- High-school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of environmental science or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to teach individuals of all ages.
- Multi-lingual skills.
- Additional qualifications specific to each program (such as certifications or degrees in dance, sports, or education, affiliation with or knowledge of US Chess Federation).
