Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Emergency Veterinarian - Full or Part-time

The Delmarva Animal Emergency Center is looking for additional emergency veterinarians. The hospital is open on weeknights and operates on a 24 hour basis from Friday through Monday morning. These hours may be expanded in the future. The hospital has recently doubled in size to accommodate a healthy case load. It is locally owned and has a 25 year history of providing outstanding care to pets from Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey.

The hospital has the latest equipment and an amazing support staff. As a private practice, our doctors can practice the way they want and have access to an experienced group of veterinarian owners who are available for consultation and surgical services when needed. We understand the financial and personal needs of veterinarians in this field and are offering a variety of options to meet them:

Part-time:
One shift (12-14 hours) per week: $100,000 annual salary for 50 out of 52 weeks. Work one night a week, take home $100K and have 6 days to enjoy your life and family. 25% production bonus (historically $25,000 and up) and 401K as well.

Part-time:
Two shifts per week: $200,000 annual salary for 50 out of 52 weeks. Work two shifts each week and enjoy the freedom of 5 days off each week. $1000 CE allowance, 401K, and 25% production bonus as well (historically $50,000 and up)

Full-time:
Three shifts per week: $300,000 annual salary for 49 out of 52 weeks. $1500 CE allowance, 401K, 25% production bonus (historically $70,000 to over $150,000 per year), professional dues, malpractice insurance.

Individual shifts on an as needed basis are also available. $150/hour or 25% of production whichever is greater. A typical 12 to 14 hour shift typically pays $2500 to $3000 or more. A great way to pay off those student loans!

Delaware license and two years of practice experience or completion of a one year rotating internship preferred. Motivated veterinarians with less experience but an interest in emergency medicine will be considered as a second doctor on shifts. Veterinarians waiting to take the NAVLE are eligible to practice in Delaware under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
