Summary
Our UX Research team is designing for the broad spectrum of human needs, which requires us to understand the behaviors of the people behind them. Our researchers tackle some of the most complex challenges to gain insights into how people interact with each other and the world around them, and work collaboratively to contribute new ideas to products that impact the experiences of billions of people on a global scale.
This job description represents different full‑time roles across Meta. We use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to accomplish our goals, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews. We value a wide-range of perspectives and stem from many different backgrounds.
Required Skills UX Researcher, Quantitative Responsibilities
Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topicsAct as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our productsDesign and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methodsDesign studies that address both user behavior and attitudesEffectively manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a large group of stakeholdersGenerate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designsMinimum Qualifications
Experience coding with R, SQL, Python or equivalentExperience with survey design and response effectsExperience applying statistical analysis methods such as Regressions, ANOVA, and T‑TestsInterest in and experience executing hands‑on, primary researchBachelor's degree with 13+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research and/or product research and development or a Master's degree and 11+ years relevant experience, or PhD and 8+ years relevant experiencePreferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience assessing impact of generative AI on usersDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)5+ years of experience leading other researchers in large‑scale collaborationsDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesPublic Compensation
$193,003/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
