Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Position Overview

As a Store Manager at Burlington Stores, you will be responsible for managing all store operations to maximize sales results while embodying “Our Burlington” values. You will mentor, coach, and lead a team to provide excellent customer service and deliver a world‑class shopping experience. Your day-to-day tasks include overseeing merchandising, operations, service management, budgeting, recruiting, onboarding, training, personnel relations, payroll, scheduling, and effective communication with district and regional management.

Directly manage Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates, ensuring company policies and standards are implemented. Partner with Assistant Store Manager – Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement and pricing, and with Assistant Store Manager – Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns-to-vendor, and chargeback paperwork. Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) to set standards, model Burlington SOPs, handle a multi‑million‑dollar sales volume and expense budget, and perform day‑to‑day reporting and record keeping.

• 5+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software
• Travel may be required from time to time
