Tire and Battery Service Advisor

Oversee safety, merchandising, and customer service in the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) to ensure a safe, organized, and high‑quality shopping experience.

• Maintain facility and sales floor safety, conduct regular safety sweeps, and enforce forklift and hazardous‑material handling requirements.
• Organize, stock, zone, and merchandise the TBC floor, including claims, returns, shrink, and damage handling.
• Present and maintain merchandise presentation: stocking, setting up displays, cleaning, removing damaged goods, signing, pricing, and securing fragile/high‑shrink items.
• Track tire and battery orders, assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead‑time changes, and suggest alternatives.
• Provide expert member service: greet members, identify needs, recommend products, explain warranties, and resolve concerns.
• Drive sales and service excellence by communicating value and collaborating with associates across the club.
• Prioritize service workflow in TBC bays, referencing Sam’s Garage, to maximize efficiency and recommend adjustments to the Team Lead or technicians.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, POS systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques.
• Leverage technology (digital tools, handheld devices) to plan sales, improve service experience, and support new tool adoption.
• Act as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service, and mentor team members.
• Operate TBC equipment safely, receive, store, dispose of merchandise, complete documentation, and handle hardware such as cash registers.
• Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using proper procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy in all business processes.
• Use policies, data, and resources to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to change.

• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• 18 years of age or older.

• Auto service industry experience.
• Retail experience.

• Hourly wage: $20.00 – $28.00 (actual rate equals or exceeds local minimum wage).
• Additional compensation: premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work.
