Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep, Cashier
Overview
Position Summary:
What you’ll do includes member service, maintaining the checkout area, resolving member issues, and promoting Sam's Club products and services. You will provide guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology, process member purchases, and assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. You will follow safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
Responsibilities also include handling merchandise, reporting unsafe situations, maintaining entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, promoting company products and services, organizing merchandise, assisting with transporting items, and maintaining a safe shopping environment. You may also review receipts, observe and report potential criminal activity, maintain documentation, and execute emergency response procedures.
You may participate in training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teach new technology and tool functionality, and deliver rollout training. You will ensure the area is maintained in accordance with company policies by properly handling returns, zoning the area, and identifying shrink and damages.
In addition, you will help uphold company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, support the Open Door Policy, and apply these in executing business processes and practices. You will complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; and participate in process improvement and change management.

Benefits and CompensationLive Better U is a company-paid education benefit for associates. Benefits information is provided including health benefits, retirement plans, paid time off, and other programs. The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00 per hour. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in specific circumstances. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
