Johnstone Supply – The Comunale Group is growing and has HVAC Outside Sales Manager positions available in each of our locations:
Pleasantville, NJ;
New Castle, DE;
Dover, DE; and Salisbury, MD.

Compensation for these positions is base pay plus a monthly commission.

Our HVAC Outside Sales Managers establish relationships within the HVAC/R industry and are known as trusted business advisors who monitor market conditions, supplier marketing programs, product innovations, competitors’ products, prices, and sales opportunities, contributing to our growth and profitability.

During the first phase of their experience, you will develop a thorough knowledge of our existing relationships and research potential new clients. You will also learn the capabilities of our CRM tool. In the next phase, you will begin to build relationships with influencers and decision makers to enhance customer engagement by asking questions, listening, and observing to understand your client’s needs.

After completing the beginning phases, you will continue to build trust with your clients by conducting routine calls to continue learning about your client’s business needs.

As a trusted business advisor, you will take a consultative approach to sales, present insights and solutions by proposing product and service programs linked to your clients’ business needs, maintain profitability metrics, and articulate the value of programs and services.

Collaboration, communication, and coordination are valuable characteristics we look for in our team members. With these characteristics you will help your customers define their next steps and coach them through forecasting sales, the planning process, and the buying process. You will also participate in management discussions regarding territory plans, forecasts, and sales goals, and create strong working relationships with branch and internal department team members so that customer expectations are exceeded and new opportunities are proactively pursued.

Our Outside Sales Managers have a minimum of two years of successful direct B2B sales experience with knowledge of HVAC/R wholesale distribution business factors influencing profit and loss and customer business operations. They prioritize time and resources, follow up on action items, and execute sales programs. Technical skills such as Microsoft Office Suite, Showpad, CRM, and Point‑of‑Sale are required.
