Job DescriptionAs a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for selling product lines to residential and light commercial accounts. You will ideally have experience in sales in the construction industry and will be motivated and aggressive in finding new accounts and building trusted relationships.
Your Responsibilities- Identify prospective customers and consistently generate and follow up on leads.
- Conduct daily sales calls, provide proposals, generate new business leads and manage accounts.
- Provide product knowledge and expertise to customers, recommending materials and services based on customers’ needs and interests.
- Understand the market you serve, monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
- Meet monthly sales targets.
- Communicate company safety programs to customers at the inception of sale by inspecting job sites to identify any safety concerns.
- Manage customer experience from initial sale to project completion.
- Perform any other duty, task, or responsibility as assigned.
- 3+ years sales experience in building products or construction.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license if a vehicle is required for company purposes.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position; reasonable accommodations will be provided where possible.
Local travel is required, with more than 50% of the time. A flexible schedule may include evening and weekend hours as needed.
Physical RequirementsProlonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Good hand‑eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength are required. Lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on the duties.
