This Environmental Scientist II position supports the Water Allocation Branch within Delaware's Division of Water, focusing on water supply assessment. The role involves receiving and analyzing analytical data, reviewing permit applications, conducting field investigations, maintaining databases, and providing technical expertise to protect the state's water resources. Responsibilities include performing statistical analysis, preparing technical reports, and responding to regulatory inquiries from state, local, and federal agencies.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Life, Physical, or Applied Science or related field
- One year of experience analyzing and evaluating scientific data
- One year of experience interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
- One year of experience in technical report writing
- Valid driver's license required
