Position Description

• Must report to work each day as scheduled by Foreman on time and ready to work.
• Employee shall call Foreman if they are to miss day or report late.
• Must wear required safety clothing and personal safety equipment as required per daily situation.
• Prepare the layout of the project.
• Estimate height, width, length and other proportions.
• Select materials.
• Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or metal.
• Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Work on top of scaffolding, ladders, and man lifts.
• Check work along the way to ensure it meets line, grade, and specifications.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
• Work with prefrabricated units.
• Create structures for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding
• Build tunnel bracing.
• Able to install machinery.
• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as floors, walks, sidewalks, equipment pads, roads, bridge decks, curb or other structural items such as abutments, walls and caps using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Set/align/check forms to make sure they are properly constructed.
• Layout and saw cut expansion joints.
• Signal concrete truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete and direct/position chute as needed.
• Direct laborers in the casting/placing of the concrete.
• Operate power vibrator and screeds.
• Set up and apply the specified curing method.

Position Requirements

Education Requirement:
None - High School Diploma or Equal is Preferred

Physical Requirement:
Able to pick up 50 lbs./Move full range of motions/Capable of using hand and mechanical tools
