Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To repair, overhaul, rebuild, modify, test, troubleshoot, remove, replace, align, calibrate, inspect and mate avionics integrated electronic and environmental systems. Serves as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) providing training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks herein. Duty 1 - Installs, modifies overhauls, maintains, troubleshoots repairs, rebuilds, aligns, and calibrates electronic and environmental systems, components, or subassemblies. Duty 2 - Performs pretest, operational (functional), or final testing of electronic environmental systems, components, or subassemblies.
Duty 3 - Utilizes safety practices and procedures, complies with security regulations, directives, and policies, and maintains a safe and clean work area. Duty 4 - Uses and maintains tools and test equipment required to accomplish duties:
Ensures tools are properly marked, calibrated (if necessary), and are secured when area is unattended. Duty 5 - Prepares effective training plans to maximize Reserve training. Complies with required instruction, guidance and/or training and provides instruction, guidance and training to others. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
* This is a testing designated position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing.
* Employee must maintain current certifications.

* Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join.
* Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume.

* AFSC: 2A9X4 / RANK: TSgtE-6. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation and Maintenance Family.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation and Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to perform the duties of an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic without more than normal supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
