Carrier Rentals HVAC Technician III

About this Role

We're hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to be a core part of our field service team. In this dynamic role, you'll independently diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, from large chillers and boilers to various air conditioning units. You'll expertly manage field reports, operate equipment, and provide excellent customer service while promoting Carrier products.

• Independently diagnose and repair various HVAC equipment and components. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
  • Air‑cooled and water‑cooled systems up to 1000 tons and hot water boilers up to 200 hp.
  • Hydronics and piping systems
  • Various sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, spot coolers, gas heaters, controls and electrical components
• Maintain accurate field service reports, including refrigerant tracking and time‑keeping logs.
• Regular use of power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment to service and repair rental systems as needed.
• Operate equipment vehicles, including forklifts.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers.
• Perform other duties to support the business as needed, including inventory count, general maintenance, cleaning and organizing.
• Provide sales leads to office personnel.
• Promote Carrier products and services to customers.
• Assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking of work.
• Adhere to EHS protocol at all times.
• Perform start‑ups and teardowns.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 5+ years of Commercial HVAC experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification.
• Must possess a Type 4 – EPA Universal certification.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• 1+ year experience with Windows operating system, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer and/or other web browsers.
• Must be able to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 pounds.

• Expertise in creating, mapping and updating project applications.
• Associate’s Degree or HVAC technical certification.
• Rentals experience.

The hourly rate for this position is between $30.60 - $41.80 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
