Heavy Diesel Technician for a local client in Pocomoke City, MD. A successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine repair. Experience working with Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Tigercat equipment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Use diagnostic computers on Mack, Volvo, International trucks as well as automotive vehicles to identify and diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Welding and repairs.
  • Hydraulics troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including documentation of work completed and parts used.
  • Stay up to date with the latest OEM guidelines and best practices for heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with heavy equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures and safety regulations as well as use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Safe use of power and handheld tools expectations in product quality, customer service, and market growth.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or service technician.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair.
  • Familiarity with equipment and OEM guidelines.
  • Experience with automotive diagnostics and repair.
  • Ability to transmit complex technical information to others.
  • Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and safe environment in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
