About the RoleIn this role, the Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the efficient and accurate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment on-site, while ensuring a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate should reside in the Dover, DE area or be comfortable commuting to the location.
Schedule:
2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

- Work within Essity safety standards, with responsibility for personal and others' safety
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose problems in machinery and related systems.
- Repair or replace worn or malfunctioning parts and equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical manuals.
- Document maintenance and repair work, creating detailed reports
- Set up and calibrate new equipment following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan
- Use specialized tools for mechanical system adjustments
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, and mechanical education
- Hands‑on experience through internships or previous roles in mechanical settings
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements relevant to the field through training and workshops
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
- Basic mathematical and literacy skills
- Ability to lift and frequently stand, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Starting pay begins at $27.61 per hour + shift differential + full benefits, with the opportunity for higher pay based on experience and qualifications.
