Natural Gas Apprentice

What you’ll be working on
  • Assist in the installation, inspection, and repair of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure, including installing remote meter reading devices, meter reading, line locating, and painting meters.
  • Learn to detect and respond to gas leaks using specialized equipment.
  • Support routine maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced technicians, including traffic control, landscaping, stocking trucks with equipment, supplies, and tools.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
Who you are
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.
  • Able to work within a diverse workforce.
  • Some knowledge of hand tools or maintenance acumen.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.
