What you’ll be working on- Assist in the installation, inspection, and repair of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure, including installing remote meter reading devices, meter reading, line locating, and painting meters.
- Learn to detect and respond to gas leaks using specialized equipment.
- Support routine maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced technicians, including traffic control, landscaping, stocking trucks with equipment, supplies, and tools.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Participate in emergency response activities as needed.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.
- Able to work within a diverse workforce.
- Some knowledge of hand tools or maintenance acumen.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.
