Rollback Driver

Responsibilities

Sign-on Bonus of $2500 for Qualified Candidates

This position is dispatched to transport construction materials to customer or job site locations. May be assigned to move construction materials at different job sites. Conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.

• Has the vehicle inspected before the trip and after return, checking for safety, damage, or tampering and reports problems to the shop.
• Drives to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and regional roads.
• Maintains a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Communicates problems with traffic or site conditions promptly, obtains information on job site location and any required light bridges or roads.
• Complies with truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair in accordance with the Truck Driver’s Handbook.
• Performs other job‑related duties as required or assigned.

$27.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License required for Low bed, low boy.
• Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License required for Tilt and flat bed.
• In compliance with all DOT physical requirements.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

• Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must pass DOT physicals.
• Skilled in loading, unloading heavy equipment.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all situations.
• Ability to read maps and follow directions to locations.
• Physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
• Professional interaction with the public and others in the company during deliveries.
• Ability to drive safely with composure; poor driving leads to negative perception.
• Adaptable and flexible.

Prolonged sitting followed by hooking up, loading and unloading equipment; requires extensive and heavy physical activity and dexterity; must be able to drive for long periods; must lift up to 75 lbs.

Must be able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
