Sitework Superintendent at Leighton A White Inc, New Hampshire, United States - Full Time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and coordinate field operations on commercial, industrial, and civil sitework projects. The Superintendent will oversee daily site activities including excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, and site preparation while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sitework crews.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Manage excavation, grading, utility installation, drainage, and site preparation work.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Coordinate with General Superintendent, subcontractors, and inspectors.
  • Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project specifications.
  • Train and mentor crew members and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Track daily production and maintain jobsite reports.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in sitework construction, preferably as a superintendent, foreman, or crew leader.
  • Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, underground utilities, and drainage systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and grading plans.
  • Experience operating or supervising heavy equipment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced outdoor environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Physical Demands

The position requires continual walking, talking, hearing, hand dexterity, visual acuity, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crawling, and lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying items—generally less than 50 lbs, frequently over 50 lbs.
