Job Title Adjunct Nursing Faculty - Theory and/or Skills Lab
Position Purpose
The adjunct nursing faculty supports New England College’s mission by delivering high-quality, evidence-based instruction to nursing students in theory and/or skills labs. This role aims to foster the development of competent, compassionate, and critical‑thinking nurses prepared to meet the evolving demands of healthcare. Adjunct faculty contribute to student success by applying current nursing practice, engaging students through active learning strategies, and upholding the standards of professional nursing education and practice.
- Deliver high-quality instruction by course objectives, whether in a classroom, laboratory, or simulation.
- Facilitate student learning using evidence-based, student-centered teaching strategies that reflect current nursing practice.
- Assess student learning through assignments, exams, and other evaluation tools; provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress in accordance with program and college policies.
- Collaborate with full-time faculty and department leadership to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and clinical expectations.
- Foster a professional and respectful learning environment that supports diverse learners and promotes equity and inclusion.
- Stay current with developments in the nursing profession and nursing education through ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to all regulatory, accreditation, and institutional standards, including those set by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing and CCNE.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a current and active RN license in New Hampshire.
- A master’s degree in nursing.
- At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience in the specific area of educational responsibility, e.g., adult, pediatric, gynecologic/obstetric, or mental health.
- Experience educating nurses in practice and/or undergraduate pre‑licensure academic settings.
