POSITION:
Special Education Teacher - 2026/27 School Year Opening QUALIFICATIONS

NH teacher certification in General Special Education or proof of eligibility for NH certification

Bachelor's degree or higher

Classroom experience or prior work with children preferred

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal JOB SUMMARY

To provide students with an educational program that provides for their intellectual, academic, and social/emotional growth to reach their full potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and deliver instruction based upon curriculum, collaboration with general educators and related service providers, to meet student needs.

Demonstrate knowledge of all content areas and child development.

Provide specialized instruction, modifications, and accommodations to support student success.

Use data to monitor progress of students towards established goals and learning standards.

Manage and accurately document IEP processes and implementation.

Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning among students and staff.

Manage classroom procedures and student behavior in a positive manner.

Communicate with students and their families professionally.

Participate and collaborate in the professional community, growing professionally, reflecting on teaching and demonstrating professionalism.

Supervise and support paraprofessional staff in collaboration with instructional teams.

Follow District policies and procedures.

Complete other duties as assigned by the building principal.

EVALUATION

Performance will be evaluated by the building principal in accordance with District evaluation procedures.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

In accordance with the Bartlett Education Association (BEA) contract.
