Long-Term Substitute Teacher, Science (Chemistry/Physics)
We are seeking a long-term substitute teacher to cover science courses, including Chemistry and/or Physics, depending on the candidate's background and strengths.
About the RoleThis position will involve planning and delivering daily instruction, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive classroom environment consistent with our school's expectations. The substitute will follow established curriculum and collaborate with the science department as needed.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in science, education, or a related field (or currently pursuing one)
- Some teaching or tutoring experience preferred, but we are open to strong student interns with relevant coursework and content knowledge
- Solid understanding of Chemistry and/or Physics at the high school level
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive classroom culture
- Teaching Certification
- Prior experience in a school setting (student teaching, paraprofessional work, lab instruction, etc.)
