This position is full-time, 37.5 hours a week.

Summary:
To research and review United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Program regulations and policies, develop and update Nutrition Office policies, technical assistance documentation, informational releases, or internal work processes for federally funded Child Nutrition Programs. To research and provide technical assistance professional development for the state and federal USDA Child Nutrition Programs. Ensure that participants of all Child Nutrition Programs meet federal and state confidential and civil rights regulations.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after high school. Relevant experience must be in food/dietary service management, nutrition, biology, business administration, family and consumer education, community programming, or related field, with some experience in planning, organizing, and leading professional development and/or adult education activities.
License/Certification:
Driver’s license and access to transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience With Child Nutrition Programs, Their Regulations And Requirements.
Experience with building coalitions and community engagement is highly desired.

Responsibilities:
Develops and Facilitates workshops where child nutrition professionals can collaborate to develop new recipes, including cultural recipes that are nutrient dense and appealing to students.
Researches and evaluates current federal law to ensure field compliance with all USDA Child Nutrition federal and state regulations.
Establishes outcome-based review standards aligned with federal and state regulations, laws and guidelines. Provides technical assistance for all participants regarding review compliance responsibilities. Establishes policies for internal process of reviews and other federally driven data collections. Develops and provides accurate documented Technical Assistance to the field as required by federal regulation and state policy. Provides appropriate documentation to SAUs, Executive Directors and Board Members.
Research and reviews United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Program regulations and policies, to develop and update Nutrition Office policies, technical assistance documentation, informational releases, or work procedures for federally funded Child Nutrition Programs.
