Chemical Process Engineer (LNG / Natural Gas Facilities)

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Process Engineer to support the design, development, and commissioning of LNG, propane, and natural gas processing facilities
. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle—from process design and equipment specification through startup and commissioning.

This position will also play an important role in mentoring junior engineers
, making it a great opportunity for someone with 10+ years of experience who wants to contribute both technically and as a team leader.

• Perform process design for LNG, propane, and natural gas related facilities
• Establish process requirements to meet project goals with input from project managers, multidisciplinary teams, and customers
• Conduct process modeling and engineering calculations to design and size process equipment
• Size, specify, request quotes for, and select major process equipment
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers during design and fabrication to ensure specifications are met
• Attend and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) as needed
• Support development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Participate in cross-discipline design reviews and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) activities
• Support development of sequence of operations (SOO), alarm lists, and interlock documentation
• Assist with project startup and commissioning
  , including commissioning plans, operating procedures, and performance testing
• Evaluate existing operating facilities for troubleshooting, optimization, or expansion
• Provide training to customer operations teams when needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of process engineering experience
• Experience with LNG, propane, oil & gas, or natural gas processing facilities
• Strong experience with:
• PFD and P&t
• Process equipment selection and vendor coordination
• Process modeling and engineering calculations
• Experience supporting startup and commissioning activities
• Comfortable working with contractors, technicians, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Experience with process modeling software is a plus
• PE, EIT, or FE certification is a plus

• Typical travel 15–20% to customer and project sites
• During installation phases, engineers may be on-site for 1–2 month periods (domestic travel)

• A hands-on process engineer comfortable both in design and in the field
• Someone who enjoys collaborating across engineering disciplines
• A professional interested in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
