MRI Technologist – Part Time – Londonderry MRI – Every Other Weekend 7‑3:30 pm
Join us at Elliot Health System. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, and fun MRI technologist to join our department.
About the JobThe practice of magnetic resonance is performed by health care professionals responsible for the use of radio frequencies within a magnetic field on humans for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A magnetic resonance technologist performs magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation.
What You’ll Do- Perform magnetic resonance procedures based on the American College of Radiology "Practice Parameters and Technical Standards" and the ARRT "Standards of Ethics"
- Understand and adhere to the preparation, positioning, coil selection, and exam sequences according to the Department Protocol book
- Actively participate in quality control and quality assurance activities using the "APIE" model
- Maintain knowledge of all MRI equipment, computers, EPIC and PACS
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media in accordance with the Radiology Contrast Policy
- Recognize emergency situations, initiate code procedures, administer first aid/CPR as needed and in accordance with specific MRI Safety guidelines
- Record patient symptom history on requisition
- Clinical experience in diagnostic imaging modality, required
- OR completion of an approved MRI education program with registry eligibility, required
- Certification by the ARRT in Radiology, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine and/or appropriate state licensure, required
- Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure, required
- MRI Registry with ARRT required within thirty-six (36) months of employment, required
- Ability to obtain BLS during employment
