POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll and benefit related tasks for all employees of the credit union using UKG Ready. This position ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations, maintains complete and accurate payroll records, handles garnishments, wage adjustments, and reimbursements, and partners closely with Human Resources to ensure consistency between payroll and employee data.

Reporting into Finance, this role supports financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll‑related audits while maintaining confidentiality and a strong commitment to service excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Processes weekly payroll for all employees using UKG Ready, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Audits and reconciles payroll data each pay cycle, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, reimbursements, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Verifies and maintains employee records related to pay rate changes, new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Administers and reconciles benefit, 401(k), and other payroll‑related deductions; ensures accurate employer contributions and with holdings.
  • Prepares payroll journal entries and assists with general ledger reconciliations and month‑end financial close activities.
