We are seeking an Epic Application Analyst for the following applications:
Hospital Billing with HB Admin or HB Claims
. Epic Build experience is required.

This role requires completing the Epic Sphinx test as part of the evaluation process.

About The Job
  • Epic Hospital Billing with HB Admin or HB Claims certification required. If an applicant has only one of these credentials, they may need to obtain the additional certification within the first six months.
  • Epic Build experience required.

Job families include Epic Application Analyst positions in levels 1‑4. The final level will be determined by a variety of factors applied to the selected candidate, including demonstrated experience, Epic training status, portfolio, and cultural fit.

Responsibilities
  • System Build and Configuration:
    Independently research and configure systems to improve processes, add efficiencies, and promote patient safety.
  • Heuristic Design:
    Leverage clinical/business knowledge to inform workflow, system design, and support end users, incorporating heuristics into daily work.
  • Adapt and Innovate:
    Embrace change positively, seek process improvements, and demonstrate innovative thinking.
  • Ensure Accountability:
    Take responsibility for actions, correct mistakes, and adhere to service excellence standards.
  • Collaborate and Communicate:
    Build partnerships with stakeholders, end users, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Information Technology:
    Apply knowledge of the systems development life cycle to develop, test, deploy, and evaluate ongoing maintenance needs.
  • Project Management:
    Manage projects effectively, understand system development life cycles, and follow project management principles.
  • Documentation and Testing:
    Create and maintain thorough documentation, develop test scripts, and ensure builds meet departmental standards and end‑user approval.
Qualifications & Additional Needs
  • 4‑year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Analytical aptitude and experience implementing and testing vendor‑packaged software applications, or healthcare operational experience in the application area.
  • Prior Epic experience (end user or analyst) is required for all levels.
  • Epic Application Analyst levels 2‑4 require current Epic training status (certification, accreditation, or proficiency) in primary applications, with additional training in maintenance and development for higher levels.
  • Strong experience as an analyst with knowledge of system analysis, project management, and business process reengineering in a healthcare setting.
  • Active vendor training status required.
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and rapidly changing situations.
  • Ability to work continually on a computer and communicate frequently and effectively in writing, verbally, and through virtual meetings (including camera).
  • Completion of the Epic Sphinx test is required for all candidates.
