IT and Business Systems Manager

Full Time Dover, NH, US

The Position: Manager, IT and Business Systems

Mission & Scope:

NEMO Equipment is looking for a Manager, IT and Business Systems to provide the guidance, direction, and hands‑on technical leadership that our business systems need.

This is a working leadership role, not a pure strategy role. You will set priorities, coach, and direct the Business Systems Engineer, weigh in on vendor and architecture decisions, and stay close enough to the systems themselves (Net Suite, SQL Server, Celigo Integrator.io, Microsoft 365) to get into the details when it matters, not just review status updates. Think of the pairing as manager and builder: you bring the direction, judgment, and hands‑on push when needed;

the Business Systems Engineer owns the day‑to‑day build, configuration, and troubleshooting.

You are comfortable operating as a strategic architect (future‑state design, vendor evaluation, phased rollout) and a hands‑on builder in the same week, making the daily calls that keep NEMO's systems reliable while owning the accountability, prioritization, and governance that an individual contributor role cannot carry alone.

This role reports to the Director of Logistics and works closely with Finance, Logistics, Sales, and Product teams across a lean, fast‑moving organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Own Business Systems Strategy and Roadmap

  • Shape NEMO's future‑state systems architecture, evaluating current tools for untapped capability before recommending replacement.
  • Support the process of identifying and executing a path to a single source of truth for reporting that teams across the organization can trust.

Own Net Suite Administration and Evolution

  • Serve as NEMO's internal Net Suite administrator, owning system configuration, user management, workflow automation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Evaluate and implement new Net Suite functionality as the business scales, including Net Suite One World capabilities.

Provide Leadership and Guidance to the Business Systems Engineer

  • Set priorities, review technical work before deployment, and provide architectural judgment on a broad and technically demanding workload.
  • Roll up your sleeves on configuration, integration, and troubleshooting when it matters, to increase efficiency and robustness across the systems function.

Maintain, Optimize, and Improve SQL Server Integrations and Reporting

  • Ensure the robustness and data integrity of SQL Server environments while optimizing and improving reporting as required by functional leaders.

Lead the Relationship with Our Managed Service Provider

  • Serve as NEMO's primary point of contact with our Managed Service Provider, directing their Client Technology Manager on priorities and day‑to‑day execution.

Be an AI Champion Within the Organization

  • Stay current on AI technologies as they pertain to NEMO's business systems and operational workflows.
  • Serve as a go‑to resource for AI tool adoption and training across the organization.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Positively contribute to the NEMO culture, engaging collaboratively across teams, maintaining a positive attitude, and supporting a culture of integrity, respect, and adventure.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in communication and teamwork with co‑workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated, hands‑on experience acting as an administrator for one or more ERP systems, including integrations, automations, and data integrity.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Fluency across…
