The RoleThis position is for a CNC Lathe Machinist who can set up and run proven jobs while maintaining tight tolerances and production efficiency.
You will be responsible for setting up machines, running production, inspecting parts, and identifying problems before they become bigger problems.
Our lathe work primarily involves single and twin turret CNC lathes
, so candidates should be comfortable setting up and running multi-tool environments and maintaining production efficiency across those platforms.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already understands machining fundamentals and can contribute immediately.
What You'll DoCNC Lathe Operation
Operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision firearm components.
Set up and run production on single and twin turret CNC lathes
.
Monitor machine cycles and adjust offsets or tooling as needed to maintain quality.
Load and unload parts while maintaining consistent production flow.
Setup and Troubleshooting
Set up previously proven jobs with minimal supervision.
Install tooling, adjust tool offsets, and make machine adjustments as needed.
Identify worn or damaged tooling and replace when necessary.
Troubleshoot machining issues to keep production running efficiently.
Blueprint and Quality Control
Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Inspect parts during production to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Identify defects and correct issues before parts leave your station.
Manufacturing Discipline
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow safe machining practices and company procedures.
Communicate process improvements that could improve efficiency or quality.
High School diploma or GED required. Technical training in machining is a plus.
3-5 years of CNC lathe experience required.
Experience setting up and running single and twin turret CNC lathes preferred.
Strong blueprint reading skills including GD&T.
Working knowledge of G-code and M-code fundamentals.
Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
This position requires standing for extended periods, handling tools and materials, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. The manufacturing environment includes machine noise and typical shop conditions.
