JOB TITLE: CNC Shop Assistant
PAY RANGE: $18-22/hr |
SHIFT: 1st 7 AM – 3:30 PM
Most machinists don't start by running million-dollar CNC machines. They start by learning the fundamentals. If sitting behind a desk all day sounds miserable, keep reading. This role gives you the opportunity to work in a real machine shop environment while learning manufacturing processes, shop tools, part finishing, quality expectations, and production workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Grind, sand, and finish precision machined components
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, tabs, and slag from metal parts
- Learn to use shop tools including orbital sanders, grinders, and hand tools
- Support CNC machining and production teams as needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
