Rifle Sub-Assembly Technician I
Position Summary:
The Rifle Sub-Assembly Technician I is responsible for assembling and inspecting rifle sub-components with precision and consistency. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of firearms maintenance, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble rifle sub-components according to company specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough visual and functional inspections to ensure proper fit, finish, and function.
- Follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Utilize hand tools, gauges, and measurement devices to verify assembly accuracy.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor assembly issues to prevent defects.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation, adhering to 5S principles.
- Assist in inventory tracking and component organization for efficient workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding quality concerns or production inefficiencies.
- Prior experience in firearms assembly, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small parts and components.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with sustained focus and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of firearm function, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift and move components as required (up to 50 lbs).
Skills:
- Experience with torque wrenches, calipers, and other measurement tools.
- Firearms industry or manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to tools, machinery, and production noise.
- Requires standing, bending, and working with hands for extended periods.
