Rifle Sub-Assembly Technician I

The Rifle Sub-Assembly Technician I is responsible for assembling and inspecting rifle sub-components with precision and consistency. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of firearms maintenance, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key responsibilities include assembling rifle sub-components according to company specifications and quality standards, conducting thorough visual and functional inspections to ensure proper fit, finish, and function, following detailed work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines, utilizing hand tools, gauges, and measurement devices to verify assembly accuracy, identifying and troubleshooting minor assembly issues to prevent defects, maintaining an organized and clean workstation, adhering to 5S principles, assisting in inventory tracking and component organization for efficient workflow, and communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding quality concerns or production inefficiencies.

Qualifications and requirements include prior experience in firearms assembly, maintenance, or a related field preferred, strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small parts and components, exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions, comfortable performing repetitive tasks with sustained focus and accuracy, basic understanding of firearm function, maintenance, and safety protocols, ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and must be able to lift and move components as required (up to 50 lbs).

Preferred skills include experience with torque wrenches, calipers, and other measurement tools, and firearms industry or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Work environment includes a manufacturing environment with exposure to tools, machinery, and production noise, and requires standing, bending, and working with hands for extended periods.
