Position: Rifle Sub-Assembly Technician I

Rifle Sub-Assembly Technician I

The Rifle Sub-Assembly Technician I is responsible for assembling and inspecting rifle sub-components with precision and consistency. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of firearms maintenance, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble rifle sub-components according to company specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough visual and functional inspections to ensure proper fit, finish, and function.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
  • Utilize hand tools, gauges, and measurement devices to verify assembly accuracy.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor assembly issues to prevent defects.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workstation, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Assist in inventory tracking and component organization for efficient workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding quality concerns or production inefficiencies.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Prior experience in firearms assembly, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small parts and components.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with sustained focus and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of firearm function, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift and move components as required (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with torque wrenches, calipers, and other measurement tools.
  • Firearms industry or manufacturing experience is a plus.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to tools, machinery, and production noise.
  • Requires standing, bending, and working with hands for extended periods.
