Job Summary The Nurse Manager – OR / Endoscopy is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating the daily operations and staffing of nursing and support staff within the surgical and endoscopy setting to ensure high-quality patient care. This role may also provide direct patient care as needed and plays a key leadership role in fostering a positive and safe care environment.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities Direct, plan, and coordinate unit operations to support high-quality patient care Develop and implement staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage
Lead staff onboarding, training, and ongoing education initiatives
Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to nursing staff
Promote a positive, safe, and collaborative environment for patients, visitors, and staff
Coordinate activities with other hospital departments to support unit operations
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Active Registered Nurse (RN) license2–3 years of nursing experience
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Nursing1–2 years of nursing leadership experience
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Commitment to clinical excellence and quality patient care Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs
