Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant, Cardiology

The Wentworth‑Douglass Center for Heart Health, part of the Mass General Brigham Heart and Vascular Institute, provides world‑class cardiovascular care and advanced diagnostics. We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our dynamic Cardiology team.

This position provides as‑needed, day‑shift coverage on the inpatient team at Wentworth‑Douglass Hospital, primarily on Saturdays and on open 8‑hour shifts during the week. It offers flexibility, autonomy, teamwork, and an opportunity to provide high‑quality, compassionate care to a comprehensive patient‑centered cardiovascular program.

• Provide direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings.
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on diagnostic and examination results.
• Order medications and write prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies.
• Consistently provide high‑quality, timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Perform bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population.

Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing required.

Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN) – State License preferred;
Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – State License preferred.

Experience: 0–1 year as a nurse practitioner preferred; previous cardiology experience required.

Other: Position requires Patient Care (Yes).

Work Location: 19 Old Rollinsford Road, Onsite.

Employee Type: Per Diem.

Work Shift: Day (United States of America).

Pay Range: $59.04 – $83.59 per hour.
